From the network
What we found reviewing 121 member firm websites
In August 2026 we reviewed the public website of every firm in this network. Here is what the data says, and what to check on your own site tonight.
This is not industry folklore. In August 2026 we reviewed the public websites of the 121 firms represented in this network: what platform they run on, what tools are installed, and what a potential client actually experiences. The numbers below are this network's numbers.
The headline findings
8 of 121 sites were unreachable. Dead domains, expired hosting, "coming soon" pages, one returning an error to every visitor. Those firms are invisible to any client who looks them up.
63 of the 113 working sites have no chat or intake tool of any kind. A visitor's only options are a phone call during business hours or a form. For practices where clients search at night, that is the single biggest leak.
41 sites have no analytics installed at all. Those firms cannot know what their marketing does. Ten more still run the legacy Google Analytics that stopped collecting data in 2023, which is worse than nothing because it looks like measurement.
61 sites have no blog or article content. Nothing feeding search engines or AI assistants, nothing demonstrating expertise.
WordPress runs just over half the network's sites (62 of 121), followed by Squarespace (14), GoDaddy's builder (7), Wix (6), and Duda (4). Platform matters less than upkeep: we found strong and neglected sites on every platform.
The details nobody notices on their own site
We found live sites with lorem ipsum placeholder text, template titles like "Your Site Title," a contact form rendering an error message instead of a form, footer copyright years stuck at 2017, phone numbers that were template placeholders, and one site actively compromised with injected spam links. None of these firms knew, because nobody reads their own website after launch.
What to do with this
Read your own site this week, every page, on your phone. Submit your own contact form. Then check the website checklist. Members also receive an automated monthly check of their firm site from the network, so if something breaks, you will hear about it before your clients do.
Want to know which of these findings apply to your firm's website? Members of Attorney Connect, a free, verified attorney referral network, receive an automated monthly check of their firm site, along with the full resource library and referral tools.
